How to apply off campus — the 6-step flow
1. Shortlist 30–50 target companies (service + product + startups).
2. Build one base ATS resume, then tailor per JD before each apply.
3. Submit on company careers pages, Naukri, LinkedIn Easy Apply, and Instahyre.
4. Ask for referrals after you apply (or before, if a warm alumni link exists).
5. Log every application with date and status.

Where to submit off-campus applications
Company career portals: check weekly for fresher / graduate / intern roles at TCS, Infosys, Amazon, and your target list.
LinkedIn: filter SDE fresher / software engineer intern, past month, India.
Naukri and Instahyre: volume for service roles; higher signal for product/startup respectively.
College alumni WhatsApp/LinkedIn groups often share drive links — apply the same day.
What to attach when you apply
One-page ATS PDF tailored to that JD — generate at /dashboard/generate.
GitHub and LinkedIn URLs in the header. Pin two projects with clear READMEs.
Optional: short cover note (3–4 lines) for email or LinkedIn InMail — role, college, one project proof.
Never send a photo-heavy or multi-column design to Indian ATS portals.
Referral message template (keep it short)
Hi [Name], I’m a final-year [branch] student at [college]. I’m applying for [role] at [company] and would appreciate a referral if you’re open to it. Resume: [link]. Thanks either way.
Personalize one line about their team or a product. Do not spam 50 people with the identical paragraph.
Apply on the portal first when the posting requires an ID — then ask for the referral.
Track, follow up, and stay interview-ready
Log company, role, date, portal, and status in /dashboard/applications (or a simple sheet).
Follow up once after 7–10 days with the recruiter or referrer — polite, one paragraph.
