Swiggy SDE Interview Questions for Freshers
Swiggy SDE interview questions for freshers and interns — the OA, coding rounds, and design-lite discussions with prep advice.
Swiggy's engineering loop mixes standard DSA with practical systems thinking. Here is what freshers can expect.
The Swiggy loop for freshers
Swiggy usually starts with an online assessment, then 2–3 rounds: DSA coding, technical discussion, and a hiring manager or HR round. Some drives include a design-lite round even for entry-level roles.
Because Swiggy's systems handle millions of orders, panels value engineers who think about real constraints — latency, scale, and failure — even at the fresher level.
OA and DSA patterns
Expect easy-to-medium problems on arrays, hash maps, strings, and sliding window, with occasional tree or DP questions. The OA is timed with hidden test cases, so edge-case discipline matters.
In coding rounds, walk through approach and complexity before coding — Swiggy panels explicitly score structured problem solving.
Design-lite and product thinking
A design-lite round might ask you to design a restaurant search or order tracking feature: APIs, data model, and basic scaling. Practice structuring one small feature end to end — entities, endpoints, and one bottleneck discussion.
Product questions also appear in behavioral form: a feature you would build for Swiggy, or how you would improve a poor customer experience. Think user, data, and implementation order.
How to prepare
Practice medium DSA daily, do one design-lite walkthrough weekly, and run full mock loops with coding rounds. Use the Swiggy prepare guide at /prepare/swiggy-interview-questions-2026 and SDE mocks at /mock-interview/software-engineer.
