Off Campus Placement Process for Freshers: Complete Guide

Off campus placement is a self-managed process — apply early, track everything, and prepare tests and interviews while applications run.
The off campus application pipeline
Off campus hiring runs through three channels: dedicated fresher drives (Infosys Superset, TCS off-campus, Wipro drives), direct applications on career pages, and referrals. Each has its own timeline — run all three in parallel.
The standard pipeline: application → online test (aptitude, coding, or both) → technical interview(s) → HR round → offer. Most candidates lose at the application or test stage, not the interviews.
Step 1: Build the application stack
A role-matched ATS resume, a complete LinkedIn profile, and a project portfolio (GitHub or a simple site) are the baseline. Keep the resume tailored per role family — same experience, role language, matched skills.
For fresher drives, register the moment windows open. Eligibility is batch-specific and some drives close within days.
Step 2: Prepare for the test stage
Most off campus tests combine aptitude and coding. Take company PYQs and mock tests weekly, and keep a mistake log — the test stage is where consistent preparation converts into callbacks.
For product companies, practice timed OA simulations with 2–3 medium problems. For services, aptitude speed matters equally.
Step 3: Clear the interviews
When interviews arrive, run company-flavored mock sessions — technical, project deep-dives, and HR — so the rounds feel rehearsed. Track every application in a spreadsheet: company, role, deadline, stage, next action.
