Interview Prep
1 Week Interview Preparation Plan for Freshers
A one week interview preparation plan for freshers — day-by-day schedule covering introduction, projects, fundamentals, mocks, and rest.
Seven days before the interview. Here is the exact day-by-day schedule that covers the essentials without burning out.
Days 1–2: content foundation
Day 1: finalize the self-introduction (60–90 seconds), rewrite your two best project stories with the STAR structure, and re-read your resume line by line — every word can become a question.
Day 2: revise fundamentals from your resume only: OOP, SQL, DBMS, and your primary language's basics. Do not open new topics — the interview will follow your resume, not a syllabus.
Days 3–4: practice rounds
Day 3: run a mock HR round — introduction, why this company, strengths and weaknesses, situational questions — and review your recording. Day 4: run a mock technical round with your projects and fundamentals, plus one easy-medium coding problem solved aloud.
Book both mocks like real interviews: camera on, timer on, no notes. The format familiarity is half the preparation.
Days 5–6: fix and simulate
Day 5: fix the three weakest answers from your reviews, and drill your coding approach out loud on 2–3 problems. Day 6: run one full-length mock with all rounds back to back — HR, technical, coding, closing questions.
Review the full-mock recording in the evening and note the single weakest pattern. Do not redo the whole interview — targeted fixes only.
Day 7: light review and rest
Review your notes for 60–90 minutes in the morning: introduction, project stories, key fundamentals, questions to ask. Then stop. Sleep early — a rested candidate performs measurably better than a crammed one.
On interview day, reach the link or venue early, keep water and your resume ready, and deliver the introduction you practiced all week.
